- Selected as guest instructor at Morocco's week-long workshops in New York City, August 1999 and January 2000
- One of only 15 professionals chosen to present an academic paper on Middle Eastern Dance at the first academic conference on Middle Eastern Dance in the U.S., held at Orange Coast College in Los Angeles, May 1997
- Selected as the American Star and instructor, and one of only 4 foreign stars selected worldwide, for Finland's largest Orientale Dance Festival, Jan. 10-15, 1996
- Selected for Artists in the Schools after a multi-step audition process including review by a multidisciplinary arts panel and a presentation at Duxberry Park Arts Impact School, 1996
- Selected for a 2-woman gala show, 2-day workshop and 1 day of Master Classes in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, alongside Shahrazad of Cologne, Germany, 1999.
- Invited Member of Panel on Uniform Terminology (alongside notables Mohammed Khalil, Morocco, Aisha Ali, Laurel Victoria Gray, Dahlena and others], Invited Co-Chair of Ethics Committee and invited presenter, the second academic conference on Middle Eastern Dance in the U.S., held at Orange Coast College in Los Angeles, May 2001.
- One of four U.S. dancers nominated by peer review for the International Academy of Middle Eastern Dance's "Cabaret Dancer of the Year" Award, 1997

- One of the first 3 dancers selected for Star Dance Vol. III; her performances inspired renowned Egyptian composer Ibrahim El Samahy to create a piece named for her and recorded in Egypt with an all-star orchestra. (1995)
- Choreography and Performance selected from large number of entrants/dance forms, sponsored by Greater Columbus Arts Council and Alliance of Dance and Movement Artists and presented in 1991 (televised) series of concerts at Third Avenue Performance Space alongside works by some of Ohio's finest Modern Dance Artists, including works scheduled to tour New York
- Invited performer in Finale Concert of Ohio Dance Festival, 1989; only Middle Eastern Dancer to perform in Ohio Dance Festival Concert other than Ethnic Night
- Selected to perform, put together a troupe and train dancers for a series of major Persian concerts featuring Aref and others, 1999-2000.
